It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the Navy Yard rum from Privateer is one of the most significant contributions to the American Rum tradition this century. Made from slow fermented molasses, that is double distilled and proofed down to 55% abv, the new spirit is then aged in a new Char 3 American oak barrel before being bottled straight from the oak, as a single barrel full proof expression with zero additives or filtration.
