Down Under MasterClass with Erika Frey

Join wine educator Erika Frey for an immersive masterclass inspired by her recent travels “Down Under.” Over two weeks, Erika journeyed through the diverse wine regions of South Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria, discovering everything from vibrant sparkling wines to elegant Pinot Noirs—and even exploring lesser-known varieties like Saperavi.

While Australia’s winemaking history may be relatively young, it is rich with innovation and compelling personalities. Erika will share the stories of the pioneers who helped shape the industry, alongside insights into iconic producers such as Penfolds and Hugh Hamilton.

This class also looks to the future of Australian wine, highlighting the shift toward cooler-climate regions, fresher styles, and an expanding palette of grape varieties beyond Shiraz. Travel along with Erika through renowned regions like Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, McLaren Vale, Tasmania, Yarra Valley, and the Mornington Peninsula—complete with photos (and a few adorable Australian critters along the way).
