Clos La Coutale Cahors CV 750ml

Vineyards in Quercy in Southwest France were established by the Romans and have been cultivated ever since. In 1325, wine from here was the table wine of Pope John XXII. These vineyards are still worked by horses, and the wine is aged in barrels for one year to obtain a full balance between the tannins and the fruit. Red currant and dried raspberry notes are highlighted by a tangy acidity in this tautly structured red. Herb, savory spice and earth details round out the finish.
